  • Hybrid boost control setup and SM4

    I've been running this setup back on stock ECU, beauty of it is instant boost response controlled by MBC, and partial boost control by EBCS
    ECU can still cut boost when failsafes kick in



    will SM4 be ok with such configuration? I don't see any problem, just want to make sure before I go ahead with this

    plan is simply putting values higher than needed under M5 > boost setpoints, and let MBC cut the boost where I need it

    boost modifier table values will need to be adjusted accordingly

    I decided to stay away from this method in favour of boost by gear tune

    however I can't get it to work, despite following the steps from manual page 44
    my goal was to lower the boost in 5/6 gear

    1. I have calculated by gearing ratios under M1
    2. Under M5/Boost setup I have set Boost setpoint 1-2 to average of 4th and 5th gear ratios; Boost setpoint 2-3 was left untouced at 300
    3. Boost setpoint 1 is 1.5 bars across the whole table
    4. Boost setpoint 2 is set to 1.3 bars across the whole table
    5. Boost setpoint 3 is also changed to 1.3 just in case

    doesn't work
    what am I doing wrong?

      The first, you need setup correct Boost range! You must check min boost for full throttle, then boost control disable, before. I think, you will have 1.4-1.5 bar or more for full throttle, now. So that, target boost 1.3 bar is not correct . Run,1,2,3,4,5 gears for 100% tps for boost control disable and check. Replace spring for waste around 1 bar and recalculate Boost range and setpoint tables. I am sure, it will be run correct. You will need correct real boost and target so little, may be.
