    Hello again. not been very active lately but now I've started working on the car again. plan is to ad a nitrous oxide system to the car to help spool the big ass turbo i got on it. i want the nos to come on smooth and then fade of when boost is starting to reach its peak. anyone know if the autronic is capable of that or do i have to get a external controller for that as well? i also have water/meth injection today and wish to integrate that as well.

    Do you have nitrous valves that can be pulsed or several stages of nitrous?

      i haven't bought the kit yet so. all depends on autronics support. while most EFi systems develop autronic is quiet

          ok installed a kit now in the car. went with a wet system from NX. jetted the kit for 50hp as a start. how should i plug it into the sm4 and how do i setup it so it only activates when i have over 90%WOT, more than 5psi of boost, less than 25psi of boost and engine temperature over 80c?

              Don't know much about NOS but if the system is negative triggered via a low current switch or relay, then you would need to wire it to a free output (output 1 to 4 don't work for negative triggering, so I wouldn't recommend using those). You would then need to go to O/P setup and select a GPC (in my example I used GPC8) and assign the output pin to the GPC. The below picture shows how to get what you want with regard to when to switch. In the example the NOS would be off below 88% throttle and on above 92% throttle, AND below 4,000rpm and after 8,000 rpm, but 8,000rpm would be changed to whatever is just below the limiter, as I heard NOS shouldn't be running on the limiter.

              Small correction. Set inhibit duration much lower than 3.0. I meant to enter 0.3 but entered 3.0 by mistake. You could even set it to 0.0.

                  Output 1-4 does work for negative triggering.
                  He gets his lap dogs to do his talking for him. Buzzard is a good example.

                    I tried it with two LEDs (oil and water warnings) and nothing I did could get it to work with negative triggering. I'm fairly sure it was Ian or you (on the forum) who told me to invert it and have the SM4 supply the 12 volt trigger, and then they worked fine. The same EXACT settings I used on outputs1 and 4 when trying to negative trigger the LEDs worked perfect when using output 7 (on another car for oil warning) to negative trigger the same type of LED. Maybe this was an isolated case, but someone else recently posted issues using one of the 1 to 4 outputs to trigger a relay and having issues. I'll look for the posts.

                      Found the older post. Might be something I'm missing, so I'll revise my original comment and say that 'from my experience' it's better not to use outputs 1 to 4 for negative triggering.

                        If you look at an EVO 1-9 or WRX 99/00 idle stepper motor wiring , you would notice that two pins (typically the two center pins) supply +14V power. . The valve is operated by pulling the other pins to ground. in sequence. If those outputs did not pull to ground, as you have indicated, these idle stepper motors would not operate.

                        Which they do, I verified this as recently as last night.

                        An LED not operating correctly I could understand, LED's have typically very low current draw and it it possible that small amount of current may be supplied via the output stage protection devices.

                        A single other person stating that a relay did not operated does not really constitute a quorum .
