  • Cal Volvo B230 2,5L E85

Hi, i wonder if somone could check my cal file.
    We have two problems,
1: the sparkplugs on cyl 1 is melting
2: difficult to control the boost.

Engine is 2,5 L 8vale E85 and 1260cc injectors, the duty cykel of injectors are almost 100% with in 2,2 bars is this correct ?
If i look in the log we have "peaks" in the boost upp to 2,5bar only for 100rpm att 100% TPS but the O2 sensor reads about 0,8 lambda steady !

If i sett the boost contoll to 1,5 bar and limits for overbost to 0,2 bar and 2sec, the engine boost 1,8-2,0 and wont cut fuel/ignition to save the engine ?

    Thanks // Henrik

You can start by changing at least 1 heat range up. This is Stock spark plugs for a volvo 230 turbo . not for 2.2 bar

Thought the same thing, now working with B8ECS

Now for the tricky problem with the boost control, boost set pnt 1 are set for 220kpa, BC range 200kpa overboost 20kpa 2s.
            Mode flag 6 = 142.
The boost runs for 240-250 later cut by overboost.
Seems like boost control dosen`t respond.
With boost control turned of boost are 170-180.
I have checked wiring and solenoid (Autroninc)

            TIPS ?

Try setting the BC Range to 150 kpa and BC Dynamic Comp to 1. If you still get overboost set -ve numbers in the Bst ctrl rng offset table at the overboost RPM's.

Hello Ian sorry for late reply, settings you recommended worked really well
Now running steady on 155 kpa.

                another question ?

I have chip 1.94 if I'm right, is it possible to have rpm limiter that just Cuts fuel and not ignition ?

The exhaust temp becomes high when i hit the rpm limiter. (Drift car)

                Thanks // Henrik
