Hi!
My car have been running perfect for over a year with this setup. I started the car and parked it outside the garage. Started perfectly. Stood for about 4 hours, and when I tried to start it, nothing. It dont even tries. Checked the plugs and they were wet. Tested for spark with a new plug, and no spark. The ecu showed steady 200 rpm while cranking.
CDI shows red light on when ignition on and while cranking.
Is there a way to check if the CDI is working? Can I ground the trigger inputs to get a spark?

Thanks

Try to bypass the CDI first. This way you will know for sure if it is the ecu or the CDI giving problem.

Then it happened again yesterday. Car stopped when driving out from garage. Started fine as always, and suddenly stopped.. The last months I have been unavailable to connect my laptop to the SM4 for more then about 10 seconds, sometimes a little bit longer. I have an old laptop with real seriell port which have never had any problems before with this ecu,(tuned a car with Autronic last weekend with this laptop without any problems) have also tried with my newer laptop with 2 different USB adapters(one is keyspan which I got adviced to buy)When I try with the USB adapter, it connects and disconnect several times pr second.....
Have also tried with another Autronic cable, but with no luck. Have also tried to clean the processors pins with paper today(which seemed to be clean), but still no communication with SM4. SM4 seriel no. 83xx. Chip 1.06
Btw the car started again this evening, but as I said, still no communication...

Thanks

Hm happened again. Was driving, parked the car and 10 min after, it will not start again. If I short the 500r ign inputs to ground, will it then produce a spark?
