Hello all.

I am pretty sure I know how to do it, but I think a thread is in order to get the info out to all.

I am currently in the process of attaching an SM4 to a Small Block Chevrolet. The TPI manifold and Sync sensor will be used. For a Crank signal I will be building a wheel to go behind the harmonic balancer.

If I remember correctly the wheel should have at least 4 teeth spaced evenly, correct?

Also the metal should be 6mm thick and the teeth should be 6mm by 6mm raised and square.

What is the proper gap to a reluctor or hall sensor?

What relationship, tooth to sensor, should this wheel be attached in relation to the engine being stopped at TDC on cylinder number one?

Use a low carbon steel or mild steel, I generally use 1010 series. Trigger angle is 60 degrees BTDC ,gap for GT101 sensor is 1-2mm. Four teeth will be fine.
