The Autronic CDI 500R and the M&W CDI's are both very good units.
The M&W units are smaller physically.
The coil primary voltage on the CDI 500R is higher than M&W.
500 volts for the 500R and 450 volts for the M&W.( depending on which model M&W).
HF series CDI 500R can have firing configuration changed using dwell table.
M&W are fixed or changed by wiring as in the case of a PRO-10.
CDI 500R also has an extra HIGH POWER option, which is a simple ground connection.
I use both and like them both.
My personal preference is the CDI 500R,
reason,
It's AUTRONIC.
