Hello Robert,
I would like to know what the max possible Dwell Time vs. RPM is on the Dodge Viper setup.

Here is the setup:
O/P Evevnt/cycle 2-4-4-4
Start at Event 1-3-7-11
Index (Base angles) 1-6-2-4-7-9-3-5-8-10-2-5-7-10-1-1
Ignition Base angles 0-54-144-198-288-342-432-486-576-630

It is using LS1 coils (normal 5.5-6ms) and right now just 2.5 ms dwell in the whole table. I know there are Vipers running this exact setup but I dont know what dwell they are running.
Thanks, Kevin

Hello Robert,

The short answer is : Nowhere near enough (Where is the joker smiley when you need it?)

At 6000 rpm it will be 1.5msec as this is when the 54 deg pulses start to overlap. (54/360 = 15%, 15%x10msec = 1.5msec)

Fantastic to hear that its going, I will email about the other things.

I have a mutliplexer in stock with fixed dwell, unfortnatly that is set to 2.5 msec but it will be 2.5 at all rpms since the mux is extending the signal.

Kevin,
Because of not enough dwell available I used M&W PRO16C CDI in Viper.
