Well guys, its almost time to start making some real ponies from this car of mine and as such, I no longer feel confident in dabbling in the tuning myself and would like to find someone to tune the car. I am actually located in Ipswich, around 50km from Brisbane.

I know that there is the Autronic dealer, CnJ Motorsports in Underwood however I'm really chasing someone who would not mind me being around and watching over the tuning progression (after all, I pretty much built the entire car and have spent alot of time, effort, blood and money on the thing). From what I've of CnJ they aren't a very personable mob and from my brief conversation on the phone enquiring about SM4 chip upgrade to 1.09 they didn't seem like a particularly friendly/happy mob.

Does anyone know if there are any other options in my area? I'm willing to travel a little or pay for travel of someone else.

There is a local shop 5 minutes down the road that run a dyno dymanics dyno and I get along with the owner there quite well, although im unsure of his experience with Autronic ECU's. I believe he is more of a haltech man himself.

If anyone can offer me any advice I'd much appreciate it. Car is a Toyota MR2 w/ 5SGTE (5S/3SGTE hybrid) & GT35R turbocharger, running Autronic SM4 and 500R CDI.

Cheers,

James.

Matt Spry (P.I.T.S) on the Gold Coast as argueably the best reputation for Autronic in Qld. He will be doing mine. I have heard mixed reviews of Cnj. Some good some not so good. Matt Spry will also not lock your ECU as some do.

He can be contacted on 0411340033

If you do a Google search on 'Matt Spry' you will be able to read a few of other peoples opinions on him.

Cheers the both of you. Will send you a PM Chris. DCR, have heard of Matt Spry. Good that he doesn't lock the ECU as I do alot of tinkering myself and will need access to enable some features in the future. Someone that locks the ECU is a definite no go.
