SDRV is a new valvesystem, replacing the the traditional valvesystem, with poppetvalvs, camshafts, cambelt.,etc.
The cylinderhead, with all itīs components, is replaced by a cylinderhead with a horizontal rotating valve, rotating with an average of 25% of the speed of the crankshaft.
The rotor is driven by a synchronmotor, which can accelerate from 0 to 1500 rpm in
2 milliseconds.
The synchronmotor is controlled by a CPU, which adjust the valve after required demands, depending on effect needed. It can also change from 4 stroke to 2 stroke, in order to increase torque..
The aim of the project is to develop an engine with lower fuel consumption , i.e. higher efficiency, lower manufacturing and maintenance costs.
The result is an engine, with much less moving parts, no cambelt, no oil in the cylinderhead, no heatingproblems as the exhaust channel is chilled every second time, when it used as inlet
The prototype is running well, the valve controlled by a computer, and the rest by
Autronic SM4.
At present is the adjustment only possible to do on the valve, with the engine stopped, but we are working on a new unit, where we can adjust it under running, and the adjusting of the speed of the valve, replace the throttle.
The exhaust gases is far below the limits, the fuelconsumption, is in the range of 40 to 50%.
The engine is silent, and reliable.
As the system can be used on all types of combustionengines, we will start to introduce it in a few months. The system is patented all over the world.
