Start up issues

Autronic guru's lend me your ears.

Issue 1. Cant get spark happening from the 4 x Bosch coils. Running an SMC through a 500R cdi. No power at the coils but it appears power into the cdi. Any ideas?

Issue 2. Can someone confirm the the following triggering set up.

A four cylinder engine with distributor producing 24 signals per engine cycle.
Mode Flag13 = 0
Mode Flag14 = 6
Mode Flag15 = 0 to 5

Still having ignition issues. No spark from the CDI. The firing order for my engine is 4 - 2 - 1 - 3

With regard to my firing order, can someone confirm the sequence below for wiring so I can check it against what we have done. We wired as per pg 27 of the SMC owners manual. I have SMC v 1.94. 4 cyl running 4 x Bosch coils.



SMC Ign O/P sequence..........2-3-4-1
CDI Trigger I/P sequence.......3-4-1-2
Ignition Coil number.............4-2-1-3

The O/P Sequence from SMC is 4,1,2,3 BUT depends of where the sync signal occur. Anyway you should have ignition even if wrong order is wired.

Do you get steady RPM while cranking?

What is the sync/pulse value while cranking?

Also it would help if you post your cal file.

Version is 1.94.

I'll try and get the cal file up today. Yes constant crank rpm was about 180ish
