CDI plug fire problem

Hi we are running the high power Autronic CDI unit on our skyline, we are having a problem with the spark trying to fire down the side of the spark plugs
We are running the big bosch coils with 10mm Magnecor leads.

Any idea on how to stop this is there better leads on the market.

I have seen one or two installations with those coils where the coil was mounted so the post was facing down directly above the spark plug. I didn't look close enough to see if they were using coil on plug type insulators / extenders but it may be worth investigating.

How are the coils wired ? CDI +ve to coil +ve ?
