I'm having an issue with the AIM dash reading a correct value of Oil temp from the Bosch sensors used for the Autronic SM4. They claim I need firmware version 1.08. Anyone know where I can get this version?
The issue is that the oil temp is 220F, as read by an analog gauge, and displayed by engine monitoring from the Autronic software. When it comes through the AIM it varies a lot and is way too low.

Is the oiltemp sensor connected to the AIM and it can not read right? So you intend to hook it to SM4 and send the signal to AIM?

I take the serial output from the Autronic and run it through the RS232 wire in the AIM harnass. Then in the AIM dash I can read all the Autronic sensors, like water temp and oil temp (inlet temp, air pressure, cam angle, etc.). The issue is that the water temp appears good, or at least matches the analog gauge, but the AIM display of oil temp is wrong. The gauge and the separate AIM Oil temp sensor (installed because I didn't believe the display) both read 220F, but the value read in the AIM dash is varying and about 130F. The autronic display of the value also matches the analog gauge.
Everythng else seems to be fine and the AIM people blame the output protocol from the Autronic, and indicated I need firmware version 1.08. If all the values are correct and I can rely on them, this will be a nice setup. It's just that the fuel injection and AIM dash were installed at the same time, so I've had some teething pains.

It is that the Autronic datastream do not have oiltemp in verision 1.01 to 1.07 datstream. 1.08 do have this. Check with your dealer.

Still trying to locate the 1.08 version, but thanks for the input.

It doesn't look like 1.08 will come out, so I'll wait for 1.09 which will be configurable. It also sounds like Rebello racing can upgrade my chip if it's ready by the time the motor hits the dyno.

1.09 is not same Datastream like 1.08. AIM is not tested and verified for 1.09 data stream yet.

Robert, are you sure that the 1.07 chip does not have Oil Temp output in its datastream? I seem to remember differently.

The odd thing is that the AIM recognizes oil temp coming through the Autronic controller. It's just that the signal is incorrect and fluctuating. Maybe that's the system response to "not configured."
I've been told that 1.08 is unlikely to be released to the public. 1.09 will need to be tested and verified, but it seems like my only choice at this point. I am currently using a dedicated oil temp sensor from the AIM system now, so it's not like I don't know what the temp is, I'd just like to not have to have two oil temp sensors.

Nope
Data stream for 1.07 here (http://www.mrm-racing.se/bag/SM4107datastream.pdf)
I am sure you can get a 1.08 chip for your special app, pm me private for this!

hey steve.. let me know how the aim dash works out.. interested in adding one to the Gt3 car...
is dave able to upgrade the sm4 to the 1.09 chip?

AIM dash is working well, and accepting everything in the 1.07 data stream just fine. Dave said he has no issues with upgrading the firmware as long as 1.09 is released by the time he puts my runoffs motor on the dyno.
The only issues I've had with the AIM are having sensors on the wrong type of channel (analog sensor on a dedicated digital channel) and issues with the GPS and O2. Their O2 software doesn't work on Windows XP, only on VISTA. Bad move. Fortunately it is set up by default for gas, so I'm doing without for now. I sent the A/F trace to Brian and they just sent me a slightly revised map to produce less A/F ratio change (rich and lean swing) on gear change.
The Autronic to AIM connection was too easy - one wire, and it was really nice to not have to duplicate sensors.
