can't find a decent computer with a serial port built in, so until i find one i was wonder what serial port to usb adaptors have worked out for anyone here?

Many threads here are on that....use the ATEN brand UC232A!

I've used Keyspan/Tripp-Lite adapters with good luck. I tune with a USA-49WG (4 port adapter) and haven't had any issues with it under Linux, Windows XP, or Windows XP running under VMWare.

If you have a laptop a good option is a RS232 Expresscard or PCcard. Then you will have a native serial port that will work with pretty much any RS232 device.
