This is the car back in japan

http://www.driftkulture.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/jzx81-575x339.jpg

And 95% of the parts i have to fit still have some coming from japan/USA/Missile motorsport (AU) but by the time i finish everything i have to do they should be here.

the goals for the car are just to be a fun safe car to drive that i enjoy could not care about making it a top drift car or a top circuit car just want to have fun with it there is one goal i want to do but nothing major.

Parts in boxes

Anyway started working on the engine bay was never going to tub the car but turned out i would be better off doing it now then trying to do it later on

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/408251_10151081500500387_604225386_22250676_120007 35_n.jpg

then i decided to spray the bay....... then i thought WELL stuff it im going to build it right the 1st time

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/392014_10151113664620387_604225386_22433942_143376 060_n.jpg

Removed engine and transmission ready to build up everything correctly it was then i decided to take the step from street car to more of a race car and removed heater aircon and radio. i still have electric windows and central locking but as with no heater i need windows to keep me warm or cool.

I ended up removing the loom from the car and started working on cleaning it all up. last night/this morning. just finished going to wait for office works to open so i can print off some loom diagrams and get to work sorting what i need and what i do not need.

And working with a friend who builds open wheel race cars and other things to help with some one off custom parts to help me.
http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/420866_10151284661350387_604225386_22994256_503396 956_n.jpg

rose jointed style castor rod bearings. i also have these getting made for the rear knuckle to.

im having issues finding a windscreen at the moment due to the car being rare here in aust :( but car is coming along nice and i just got a new job so i hope to get some work going soon as more money can be put back into this project.

im looking at making a custom loom for it now. since i worked out i hardly have anything STOCK in the car and i have everything but a speedo/Tacho/Fuel gauge to be wired in so i started looking into GPS Speedo units and just use my turbo timer RPM digital read out with a shift light and i will work something out for fuel...

but yeah if anyone has re wired a car please give me some pointers OH ALSO as you see front diffuser/splitter i plan on putting down a flat floor and rear diffuser of some sort and i have just put a depoist on a voltex rear wing to keep the ass gripping.

UPDATED 1st thread with build as i could fit in will move on from here now with updates :D

Would like to thank Troy for these items a good friend from NSW who i have known since my 1st 1JZ X83 almost 5+ years ago he works on formula ford cars and races his own Drift X83 not only on the track but on the mud to... Vid below

will order my last bushes this week and new rose jointed sway bar links. if all goes well and my gaskets get here for the engine i will also send engine off to builder to get the valve springs and so on put in timing belt done and have it all ready to put back into car.

Here is a picture of the OLD X8 Progressive power steering rack vs my new X7 rack changes the steering ratio from the old lock to lock of 3.7 turns to 2.7 and with knuckles and solid rear end i should have what i hope to be go kart like steering.

SO this is what i got done before it started to rain........

http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/533387_10151562779320387_849250289_n.jpg

Bolted this up.....

It joins to this..

my new tires and roughly where there sitting atm

http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/292266_10151562793010387_604225386_24017724_541589 135_n.jpg

OLD tires on passanger side vs new tires on driver side

Driver side are 17 x 9 +18 with a 255 40 on it and passanger side is a 8.5 +25 with a 235 45 on it

http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/575550_10151562796470387_604225386_24017728_100237 7087_n.jpg

Old tire placed back on just to sit on..... cross member sitting at about 130mm off the ground still have two inchs of adjustment to lower the coilovers but yeah once kit is fitted i think it will be low enough.

http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/545934_10151562805640387_604225386_24017748_150582 9497_n.jpg

But yes it ROLLING again. so it been some time but im happy where it is at.. just need to connect sway bars and give it a alignment and work out what i will do from there
