Hi Guys,
3.0 fully built bottom end, hand ported head with standard valves, Borg Warner turbo, no nitrous as yet. Fully Street Strip full chassis and interior. SM4 v1.09 with options like LC/TC, Rev-2, NOS Activation, Boost select and Boost Control.....or driving "manually": ALS, Rev-2, WOT.
Work in progress with the tuning so nothing other than a preliminary power chart. Will post more as it develops.
Right now I'm tapering the boost from 39psi down to 32psi at the top of the chart.

Not the greatest pictures from my phone, but this is it.
Should have some times in February when the car goes out of country for it's 1st race meet.

We have done some tuning of the Launch and Traction Control and managed to get the car off the line at 1.2bar with 6500rpm. Any more than this and the slicks just can't take it. The LC is wonderful as we thought we may have needed nitrous to get the car out the hole hard enough.
Unfortunately with 1.2bar it squat down hard enough on the slicks that the differential mountings broke away and ripped completely off the chassis when shifting to 2nd.........so it's fix it time before the races.

That is nice. Kind of puts a smile on your face when you can rip a diff from the car lol.
Just something i noticed. Do you have your power steering removed? Weight saving???

Alternator and Water Pump only. Not my car or mechanical work there, just the ECU install and tuning was my input to the project.

28 x 10.5 x 15 M/T Slicks. That is the biggest we can fit without having to flare the fenders.

Toyota MK IV Supra. The rear end is stock and supposedly good for 1000hp. We are running a "Drive Shaft Shop" competition shaft (which also broke).
The mountings to the chassis need to be replaced with solid bushings.
This size slick fits the car with the only modification being to roll in the lip on the fender.
The chassis can squat down very low before the Slick touches anything.

It has been a while. Unfortunately the project never made it to the races as the owner has now decided that 3700lbs is just too much.
We are presently going to a full NHRA 6 second chassis and replacing the Getrag 6 Speed with a COAN Engineering Power Glide.
The build process can be followed here:

i`d say it`s a good decision
...do not wasting potential engine on stupidly heavy chassis without traction.
