Is there an easy way to temporarily add or subtract spark advance to the entire map, instead of going to every cell individually? I want to set up a knock monitor so I need to do a 'safe' run where to boost is lower and timing is retarded say 5 degrees from my normal map, just to make sure it is not knocking and the knock monitor can get a base reading of the engine background noise. Of course I should use headphones to do it properly, but I don't have the experience to detect knock this way and don't want to blow up my engine learning what it sounds like!!

What ECU do you use?

Use the ignition correction map for coolant temperature, temporarily.

Use Tag function and multiply the map with whatever you like.

Sorry, it's a Subaru PnP SMC.
gti - good idea, thanks.
SporttiJanne - I haven't heard of the tag function - can you explain further?

What about just making changes to your timing/charge temp mod map, then you only need to change a few sites.

Yeah, just thought of the charge temp table myself. Looks like there are a few easy ways to do it.

You press T and enter "tagged mode", press T on each cell. Then menu edit-window use table offset or multiplier. If you use offset just press and enter -3 and all cells will be decreased 3. Tagged mode is also used when you want to Linear between cells. If you have tuned some cells and there are two cells between you want to change, use T on the cells you want to change and then Linear left to right or top to bottom. Easy way of smothing out some cells between tuned cells.
